Purple Room - Rainbow Flowers

Find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed, sit or lie comfortably with your spine straight. Close your eyes and send your attention to your breath. As you inhale, tell yourself to become calm; as you exhale, tell yourself to relax. After five or six of these relaxing breaths, visualize a gentle purple cloud surrounding your body. When you inhale, feel the purple entering your nostrils and filling your lungs. When you exhale, visualize your exhalation as a bright yellow puff of air. Continue inhaling purple and exhaling yellow for several more breaths. Now let your breath return to its normal rhythm and begin to create a picture in your mind. Picture a quiet, peaceful room. The room is painted a warm shade of purple with large, fluffy white pillows all around. In one corner, a tall vase is overflowing with beautiful flowers, and from all around, the gentle sounds of nature waft into the room. You can hear leaves brushing together in the gentle wind, birds chirping as they fly from branch to branch, and the faint sound of a stream trickling in the distance. As you find a comfortable spot and relax into one of the soft, white pillows, you begin to feel yourself detaching from your physical body and floating around this safe, nurturing room, like a bird in flight. You can feel the breeze on your face as you float around the room; you can smell the wonderful scent of flowers that fills the air. You float near the flowers, reach out your hand, and gently touch them. Their velvety petals tickle your fingers. Sit for a few moments on a pillow beside the flowers and enjoy their brilliant color. Choose a flower that is red and look at it for a moment, then an orange one, and a yellow one. Now focus on the green stems and leaves. Once again look at the flowers, focusing on a blue one, a purple one, a pink one, and finally a white one. Now return to your original pillow, close your eyes, and relax here for as long as you are comfortable. When it is time to return to your physical body, gently move your fingers and toes, take a deep breath, and slowly open your eyes. Bring the peace and expansion with you as you return to the present moment.
